Translation: I'm getting ready!Apparently the toughest part is finished - the paper work. I picked up my visa this morning in San Francisco at the consulate and now I'm good to go in France until August 18th, 2011.
It's only a short 28 days until my departure, 20 of which will be spent moving out of Santa Barbara, unpacking my things back home, and a one-week trip spread across Nevada, Arizona and Utah.
Although I have been told that the rest from here on out is easy, I greatly beg to differ. The thing that is beginning to occupy my thoughts most is WHAT WILL I PACK?! I am required to fit one year's worth of clothes spread over all four seasons into 2 suitcases and one carry-on bag. My collection of shoes alone would usually take up such luggage. I guess I will just have to shop in Paris to replace the items I am forced to leave behind.
